How to use employee system access templates to save time

Creating system access templates #

Employee System Access templates are used to set multiple employees’ system access with a pre-made template. This is useful when you have many employees with similar or the same access.

  1. To start, click on the Setup button in the top bar of Insight.
  2. Click on Templates near the bottom of the drop-down menu.
  3. Click on System Access Templates.
  4. Click Add Access.

From here, you will need to name your system access template at the top. If you are unsure what system access templates to create, our recommendation is to create one template for an average employee’s access and one template for a manager’s access. This way, you will have system access pre-set for when you need to add an employee in the future.

Assigning system access templates to employees #

Once you have finished creating your system access templates, you will need to choose which template to assign to which employee.

  1. Go to the Employees screen.
  2. Select an Employee.
  3. Click on the System Access tab.
  4. Click Edit.
  5. Under the Template Used drop-down menu, assign a system access template to your employee.
  6. Click Save.

After finishing assigning the employee’s system access template, you can still edit their system access and check/uncheck any needed options for that employee.
