How to set up email in Insight

Where to set up email #

  1. Click Setup (May be under More)
  2. Click System Setup.
  3. Click the Email/SMS Setup tab.

Where to set your email server settings #

Click on the Server Setup option on the left side of the screen


Note: Scroll to the bottom of this article to find some of the common server settings.

Where to set you email account logins #

  • There are 2 sections for email accounts, Confirmations and Marketing.

    • Confirmations – This is where you enter the email account you want to send appointment confirmations from.
    • Marketing – This is the account you want to send marketing and everything else from (receipts, pay stubs, etc.)

Important:

These accounts have to be from the same email provider.

Common Server Settings #

Note: If we don’t have your server settings here, you would need to get them from your email provider.

Provider Settings
Gmail Incoming Server: pop.gmail.com
Outgoing Server: smtp.gmail.com
Enable My outgoing mail server requires authentication
Enable My Mail Server Requires SSL
Incoming Port: 995
Outgoing Port: 587
Email Address:  Your full email address
Email Account Login: Your full email address
Password: Your email password

Issues logging in? Make sure POP is turned on in your Gmail account

Try creating an app password in Gmail to use instead of your normal password

or
Outlook
Incoming Server: pop-mail.outlook.com
Outgoing Server: smtp-mail.outlook.com
Enable My Mail Server Requires Authenication
Enable My Mail Server Requires SSl
Incoming Port: 995
Outgoing Port: 587
Email Address:  Your full email address
Email Account Login: Your full email address
Password: Your email password
Yahoo Incoming Server: pop.mail.yahoo.com
Outgoing Server: smtp.mail.yahoo.com
Enable My outgoing mail server requires authentication
Enable My Mail Server Requires SSL
Incoming Port: 995
Outgoing Port: 587
Email Address:  Your full email address
Email Account Login: Your full email address
Password: Your email password

Too many bad authentication attempts error

If that does not work:

Godaddy Incoming Server: pop.secureserver.net
Outgoing Server: smtpout.secureserver.net
Enable My Mail Server Requires Authenication
Incoming Port: 110
Outgoing Port: 80 or 25
Email Address:  Your full email address
Email Account Login: Your full email address
Password: Your email password
